- There was concern raised about the footpath opposite the School Garden which cut across the Laurel's Mountain. The pathway numbered 10/1.1 was covered with dog faeces. It would be helpful to have a sign up to deter dog walkers from leaving the paths fouled, and spoiling it for other users. A sign would be requested for this spot.

Internet - Clr Brinsden said that if villages got together they may be able to get funding to improve the broadband connection. He suggested that anyone who had difficulty in accessing broadband, or if it was particularly slow, they should contact the clerk on 810360 or email paulinetdavies@googlemail.com. If they have enough people across the six villages there may be a way to secure funding to facilitate improvemnets.

Date of next meeting - Thursday 23rd June, Llanteg Village Hall.

A few Items from March 2011 Meeting
Taken from the Tenby Observer so cannot guarantee that this is
everything relating to Llanteg that was discussed

Crunwere House Wind Turbine - Chair welcomed Mr Stephen Phillips. Mr Phillips was very concerned about the recent planning application which had caused him to attend the previous month's meeting regarding the wind turbine to be erected at Crunwere which had been given approval by PCC despite objections from Natinal Parks, the Community Council, as well as individual objections from local residents.

Mr Phillips asked did this mean that any turbine application in the area would be approved, as all public consultation and views on that one appear to have been ignored.

The Community Council were concerned that, yet again, the views f the Community Council seemed to have no bearing on decisions that were made by the planning department.

It was suggested Mr Phillips contacted Simon Hart MP to seek advice/views.

Mr Phillips said he would do this and he also said that he felt that there should be two types of planning application - one for simply domestic use for a home supply and any other which should be viewed as commercial and hence merit a different planning application.

Trelessy Road - this was still not done, but was on the work schedule. referred to area maintenance as localised carriageway damage, Clr Brinsden said that long-term, the worn surface was due to be cut out completely and resurfaced. This had been promised as soon as possible.

Road opposite Captain's Pond, Llanteg - a ticket was being raised for the work to be done. Maintenance would inspect. This had been tackled but has not been done satisfactorily.

Lane from Llanteg to Tavernspite - full of potholes and wearing away. This was to be addressed at on-site meeting with officer.

Broadband - Clr Brinsden was trying to get some money for improving broadband in the not spot areas. More money was available from Westminster and it was hoped that some would come to this area.

Footpaths - the path from Crunwere House to St Elidyr's Church would be surveyed and the footpath from Blaenhafod to Broomylake would also be improved.

Llanteg Community Association - there would be a barbeque on Easter Sunday and some walks were planned for the summer. Hopefully they would be putting an information board in the garden, together with some benches and a sculpture. It was also hoped that gates could be fitted.

Planning

Land west of Crunwere House, Llanteg - erection of 50 kw wind turbine (Amended Description and Amended Plans) - permission granted

Land adjacent to The Meadow, Llanteg - renewal for dwelling - permission granted.

Trelessy Road - it was reported that scrambling bikes and jalopy cars were racing in the field on Trelessy Road and were causing a lot of noise which was dsturbing residents. If it persisted the noise abatement office would be contacted. It was suggested that PCSO be contacted to to see if he could intervene. This would be done.

Dangerous Tree - it was also reported that there was a large tree on York Lodge hedge which appeared to be dangerously leaning over into the road. PCC had said that because it was in someone's garden they were not responsible. The owner was elderly. Clr Brinsden said he would have a word with the council and see if anything could be done.

Grit Bin - a request was made that a grit bin be located at Llanteg Park .

Next Meeting - Thursday 21st April at Llanteg Village Hall.

A few Items from February 2011 Meeting

Taken from the Amroth parish website
The Chair welcomed Guests: Mr J Hickey and Stephen Phillips to the meeting

• Trelessy Road, Llanteg – This is still not done but is on the work schedule. There had been some negative comments, but most of them were positive, especially from older people. 37 people had offered their support and 31 would definitely use it. Visitors on holiday said they would love to be part of the community and be involved when they were in the area. Rachel Gibby said 16 councils had agreed to take this scheme forward, mainly in the south. Clr Brinsden asked what percentage of returns had been received. A total of 600 households were written to and forty questionnaires had been returned. Clr Brinsden felt it was a good thing. Rachel said a grant would be put towards it in the first instance. It was agreed Amorth Community Council would go ahead with this and Rachel would set up an initial meeting to take this forward. The process of setting this up would take about 6 months.

Fibre optic lines for faster internet connections

A letter had been sent to BT and council was awaiting a response to see if the area could be targeted.

Trelessy Road, sinking

This was now on the work schedule and would be done shortly.

A Llanteg councillor asked if the gulley sucker vehicle could be acquired for Llanteg. Clr Brinsden said that it was being applied for.

Next Meeting

Thursday 16th December – Amroth Parish Hall.

A few Items from October 2010 Meeting

Taken from the Tenby Observer so cannot guarantee that this is everything relating to Llanteg that was discussed

Housing Needs Survey – Matthew Owens attended – he stated that an area had been identified as an ‘exception’ site, but felt it was too far away from Llanteg village to be a viable option.

Internet – Clr Brinsden (in his absence) had reported that BT had apparently been given funding to put in fibre optic lines to speed up internet access in areas where access was poor. It would not be automatic and councils would need to contact BT and express interest in the scheme if they would like BT to look at local issues. It was agreed that they should follow this up and a letter would be written to BT from the council.

Trelessy Lane - the nearside lane when travelling south on Trelessy Road, Llanteg was sinking, from Finlandia to the corner, due to increased heavy traffic using the road. This had been reported to the county council, but no response had yet been forthcoming.
Clr Brinsden would like this to be added to the list of outstanding items. A note would be sent to the county council regarding this matter.

Llanteg Community Association – A Bingo and Quiz Evening was to be held on October 30th and the Carol Service on December 12th at 3pm, with refreshments to follow.
Plans had been drawn up for The Claypit to pass around the community, illustrating potential developments. Village Hall improvements were also discussed. Publicity would be going out about this. On Saturday, August 29, in Village Garden, Llanteg, there would be country crafts for children followed by a late afternoon barbecue. They were granted this despite the fact that these lorries and bitumen tankers have to pass the rear entrance to Tavernspite School where there were no pavements and where many parents drop off their children. It would seem that the IPG who voted en-bloc for this to be passed have more affinity towards business than for the safety of pedestrians and children.

Textile recycling bank in Llanteg - This was still being considered.

Trees beyond the hedge at crossroads by Folly Cross – These were obstructing the view, but nothing had been done on this matter. A letter would be sent to suggest the new location.

Communit Associations – a possible meetng in the New Year between both Amroth and Llanteg Community Associations to discuss energy conservation.

Planning (Clr Brinsden declared an interest):-
East Llanteg Farmhouse – erection of dwelling and use of a stabel block as garage (refused)
Tig Bhan – sub-division of dwelling to form two residential units (no abjection).

A few Items from November 2008 Meeting

Taken from the Tenby Observer so cannot guarantee that this is everything relating to Llanteg that was discussed.

Prior to the start of the November meeting of Amroth Community Council, a welcome was extended to Mr. Tim Jones, of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.
A question was asked about the path from Eastlake Farm to the stream which could be difficult to walk on, especially after heavy rain and tractor use. The path leading from Hannah’s Plain to Ledgerland Farm could be impassable in places. However, Mr. Jones said that this path was not within his remit.

Broadband - This work was now in hand. Clr. Brinsden read out a cabinet statement showing the cabinet’s work in chasing up BT and WAG regarding this issue. Forms had gone out to all residents within the area asking them to write to Nerys Evans if they were experiencing problems with accessing roadband.

PLANED Community Action Planning: Llanteg has its own Community Association which worked in conjunction with the Llanteg Village Hall. It was stated that now there was a great opportunity to work together (with Amroth) across the community council area and help to lead on the key priorities identified in the Action Planning process by local people. Clr. Brinsden reported that he is still working on the sewage issue in our area. Welsh Water and EA are being invited to the Scrutiny Committee in January when Cllr Brinsden will be speaking about this on-going problem.

Bus shelter: Council agreed that it would like a bus shelter in Amroth village, the same as the one in Llanteg.

Flooding at Woodview: Clr. Brinsden stated that excess water was being allowed to be fed into the main drain.

Pot holes on road between Stanwell corner and Colby corner: Nothing had been done. Clr Brinsden had requested extra piping on both sdies to ensure drainage was maintained. Clr Brinsden said a sign could be put up saying ‘Unsuitable for motors’. The Council now has twelve members.

The new Chairman for 2008/09 was Clr John James, Summerbrook.
County Councillor Brinsden thanked everyone for their assistance & support in the recent election. Steve’s number is 01834 811885 if you feel you can contribute or have any local information to offer.
A.C.C. would request that there be a review of the lack of a mains sewerage system in the Llanteg/Llanteglos area.

Noted how fortunate Amroth were to have Clr Brinsden as part of their Community Council providing feedback on Pembrokeshire County Council issues.

Planning (Clr Brinsden declared an interest):-
Ocean View – siting of caravan, greenhouse and splashpool (this was not allowed in the original deeds)
Bleancilgoed Quarry – development of asphalt plant (full investigation would be carried out)
Milton Farm – (no objection to outbuildings being converted into three holiday units but that the driveway needed to be assessed as it was on a nasty bend and the proposed development would increase traffic to the site)
Bevlin – (no objection – but the alteration of existing access to the site resulted in a number of observations being made by Council)
Norton Lodge – change of use of land and erection of garage (permission granted).

A few Items from February 2008 Meeting

Taken from the Tenby Observer so cannot guarantee that this is everything relating to Llanteg that was discussed.

Representatives from PLANED and National Parks attended.

Action Plans – Amroth will be having a meeting at Amroth Arms on 10th March – 6.30pm for buffet with meeting from 7-9pm.

General Newsletter Training – in conjunction with the above. Letter mentioned to draw the attention of all householders (all of the inhabitants of Llanteg) to the importance of regular maintenance and emptying of these systems.

Plans:-
Fynon Hafod, Tavernspite – garage & water treatment -granted
“ - wind turbine & two barns – all agreed.
Ocean View, Trelessy Rd – caravan, greenhouse & spashpool – all agreed
Red Gables – erection of dwelling- all agreed.

New Councillors needed – Two more councillors will be needed from May 08 due to a boundary increase.
Women are under-represented on the council – so, male or female – if you think you can devote time to this worthwhile cause then Amroth Community Council would like to hear from you.

2007 Extracts

A few Items from November 2007 Meeting

Taken from the Tenby Observer so cannot guarantee that this is everything relating to Llanteg that was discussed.
Planning
Concern was raised about the way Planning Applications are assessed between meetings, in order to meet the planning deadline.
It was suggested that consideration be given to a Planning sub-committee when more Councillors are elected next year.
It was also suggested that a local resident with expertise would be happy to act as an unpaid consultant to look at plans. Some councillors felt that, despite the credentials to do the job, any one taking this on should be an elected Councillor.
It was agreed that in the short term, a Councillor is telephoned in the specific area for their view. If there is a complex matter then plans must be viewed by a group of Councillors. Advice must be sought from current and past Chairmen and the Councillor located in specific area.
One Councillor did not attend this meeting but she wanted it to be stated that she does not feel there is any necessity for a pre planning meeting as such, unless the application is of particular importance/concern.
This important issue will be discussed next May to look at the best way forward. We may be able to invite the National Parks to discuss the best way of assessing these applications
It was suggested that all Councillors + Clerk to have official photographed badges for on site meetings. Enquiries will be made about the feasibility of this.
This issue will be discussed at our next meeting.

Plans:-
7 Llanteg Park, Ledgerland Lane, Llanteg – Permission has been granted
50 Llanteg Park, Llanteg – Extension to dwelling – Permission granted
Eastlake Farm – Cubicle Housing with under shed slurry store - Permission granted

Matters for discussion at the next meeting
Concern has been raised by a member of the community about a plot of land nearby in Trelessey Road which is being used for storage of fair equipment and caravans. The resident was asking if anything can be done about this as it is National Park land.

A few Items from October 2007 Meeting
Taken from the Tenby Observer so cannot guarantee that this is everything relating to Llanteg that was discussed.

Road, Tavernspite to Llanteg – area successfully completed.

New Boundaries – from next year Amroth Council will be able to have tow more councillors – making twelve in total, due to its extended boundary. The area comprises Amroth, Summerhill, Pleqsandt Valley, Llanteg and Stepaside. The council would welcome new councillors from any of these areas, in particular Stepaside, which was currently underepresented. Elections will be held in May 2008.

Planning:-
7 Llanteg Park – extension – no objection
Dwelling & garage adjacent to The Meadow – no objection
50 Llanteg Park – extension – no objection
Pantglass – alterations & extension – permitted
Oaklands – developement – permitted
West Lanteg – three flats – permitted
Llanteglos – revised siting of garages – permitted
Crofty – new access & car park – permitted

A few Items from September 2007 Meeting

Taken from the Tenby Observer so cannot guarantee that this is everything relating to Llanteg that was discussed.

Seren Y Mor – appeal dismissed.

Clay Pits – nothing to add.

Woodview – planning permission granted for new entrance.

Redirection of traffic after accident – correspondence read relating to speeding and diversions.

New Neighbourhood Watch Scheme – police liason meeting every fourth Tuesday at Bloomfield. Contact number for police team is 0845 330 2000.

Road, Tavernspite to Llanteg – area completed and very well done – progress would be monitored.

Mountain Chapel – agreed that matters concerning Mountain Chapel planters and memorial plaque would go ahead.

Planning:-
Seabreeze – extension to workshop – no objection
Oaklands House – garage, workshop & decking – no objection
Pantglas – alterations & extension to dwelling – no objection
Crofty Nursery – new access & change of use from agric. to car park – no objection
Llanteglos – revised siting of two garages – no objection
Llanteglos – application for new premises license at The Garden Lodge – no objection

Blocked Gully - by Oaklands, Old Amroth Road – matter would be pursued.

New Councillors - elections will be held next May (2008). Please consider this opportunity to serve your community.

A few Items from July 2007 Meeting

Taken from the Tenby Observer so cannot guarantee that this is everything relating to Llanteg that was discussed.

Seren Y Mor – correspondence received – advice would be sought.

Redirection of Traffic after Accident – traffic redirected a lot better after the recent fatal accident by the Old Amroth Road (Oaklands loop – perhaps because they could loop around easily there!). Thanks were extended to Dyfed Powys Police for their co-operation.

Road Maintenance – Llanteg to Tavernspite – work part completed – to complete the rest ‘in future’.

New Neigbourhood Watch Scheme – monthly meetings being held locally. Residents with any concerns to contact Clr John James.

Planning – application for new stock shed at Rose Park Farm – no objection.

Correspondence – letter received from Ruth Roberts regarding History Society wanting a plaque installed at Mountain Chapel – no objections.

A Few Items from June 2007 Meeting

Taken from the Tenby Observer so cannot guarantee that this is everything relating to Llanteg that was discussed.

Claypits – agreed the Probation Service would start work there by the end of the summer.

Road Maintenance – Pembs.C.C informed them that work on Tavernspite/Llanteg road would be finished by end of July.

Resignations – received from both the clerk (Mrs Wilson) and Clr Alan Adcock (community councillor for 15yrs). Clerk has given the three months notice required.

Redirection of Traffic – clerk had e-mailed Sgt King of Narberth regarding the poor redirection of traffic after the recent A477 accident near the Folly crossroads.

Sewerage – the Environmental Agency had completed its enquiry for Llanteg and had decided to uphold the decision made by Welsh Water not to install mains sewerage in Llanteg.

A Few Items from May 2007 Meeting

Taken from the Tenby Observer so cannot guarantee that this is everything relating to Llanteg that was discussed.

Claypits – Clr J.James said there’d been a gathering at Llanteg to discuss the project. The area at the back of the old school would be maintained and kept in good order. But work would not start poper on the Claypits until the end of the summer, although a start had been made.

Road Maintenance – Llanteg to Tavernspite – work not been completed yet.
